Therefore, I concluded that focusing on mostly whole plant foods (and very little processed foods) was a healthy and effective way to achieve fitness results. Protein is a "terrible" source of energy because the body can't turn it into fuel fast enough, it's the last resort of energy for your body if you are lacking fats and carbs.
